SierraSil Health was founded as Sierra Mountain Minerals Inc in 2003 to research and develop our proprietary natural hydro-thermal mineral complex trade named SierraSil, reflecting the US Sierra-Nevada pristine source and the silicate mineral structure. Our vision is to help one million or more people live healthier and more active lives.
We are a private company, with about 25 shareholders who provided the capital to start-up our business (their business), including an ambitious research program that continues to the present.

General Accountant
Position Dates: January 5, 2015 to April 15, 2015
SierraSil has an opening for a General Accountant in our Vancouver, BC office from January 5th to April 15th, 2015 (with the possibility of the position becoming permanent). This position reports to the Controller and requires an individual who is able to work under tight deadlines and in an open area. Since our Year End is December 31st there will be yearend duties for Canadian and U.S. companies. Outstanding organizational and computer skills especially in Excel are required. Also, knowledge of SAP Business One would be an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Accounts Payable including invoice entry, cheques and wire transfer payments, maintaining vendor files,
responding to vendor inquiries.
•Accounts Receivable including Posting customer purchase orders, sending customer invoices,
monitoring overdue receivables, responding to customers invoice inquiries.
•Compute commissions based on sales
•Monitors bank and credit card balances at least weekly advising Controller when funds need to be
transferred and do the appropriate paperwork
•Prepares month-end journal entries on a timely basis.
•Administrative duties include liaison with outside I.T. Company and checking daily backups. Do mail pick
up and deposits to cover that position as required.
•Reviews all bank transactions on a daily basis and identifies preauthorized payment to post in system
•Prepares Sales Report totals weekly and detailed report monthly
•Update various monthly reports and expense trackers•Assists in the preparing of year-end accounting working papers
•Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting system (SAP) and general
ledger structure
•Other projects as required

Qualifications:
•Current enrollment in a recognized accounting program (Preferred but not necessary)
•Minimum 3+ years accounting experience.
•Strong computer skills with Excel and SAP Business One (preferable)
•Proven ability to carry out financial procedures while exercising good judgment and strong analytical skills.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities and work in an open area.
•Attention to detail.
•An employment agreement including confidentiality clause is a condition of employment.
